Massachusetts Wedding Photographer – Jen & Derek at Jones River Trading Co. May 10, 2003

Meet Jen & Derek! This was the most amazing wedding I have ever been too. Why? Because it is mine! This week we are celebrating our 10th anniversary so I decided to blog our wedding. We were married on May 10, 2003 on a small grassy patch of land in front of the Mayflower in Plymouth. Since I am in the wedding business I needed something a little different so we have 20 of our closest friends and family members meet us at the Radisson (Sheraton when we printed the invites…ugh). Everyone jumped into the trolley and headed down to the Plymouth waterfront. I had planned this magical first look. Derek was going to be waiting at the bottom of the stairs while I floated down the stairs to meet him. He was going to be completely overwhelmed and fall to his knees crying. Well….he was early and saw me as I was walking out of the bar with a drink. Not exactly as planned but it was still nice. Back then we never thought to have a photographer capture the first look. We hopped onto the trolley and headed over for our 5:30pm ceremony. I do have to add that we were 5 minutes early for the ceremony. We walked down the aisle together which is a little different but my dad had passed away 10 years earlier.

I know….sexy as hell!

When Sharon ran to the ladies room I stole her camera for a few shots

I had the coolest cake. We cute the cake to Adam Sandler’s “Grow Old with you”

One of the best parts of being in the wedding business is that I get to back to my wedding venue all the time to photograph my clients. I will be back there again this year to photograph Kerri & Steve.

It was the best day of my life. I can’t wait for the next 10 years and so many more!
